Japanese or English?

The same card in two versions costs and arrives very differently. Here is what actually changes.

Price per pack is not close

This is the biggest difference and the least examined. The Japanese print runs roughly 60 % cheaper per pack. An English One Piece box sits around €110-120 for 24 packs; the Japanese equivalent runs €40-50.

Bandai prints far more for Japan, its home market. More supply, lower price.

CardSignal product pages show the price per pack next to the total. It is the only number that lets you compare boxes with different pack counts.

Japanese lands first

Sets release in Japanese first and in English months later. If you want to open a set early, go Japanese. If you play tournaments in Europe, wait for English.

Which holds value better

The extreme case: a first-wave English Romance Dawn (OP-01) box is around €5,000, and full cases have sold in five figures. The Japanese version never did that.
